Chris Eckert has managed to churn out a CNC tattoo machine that intends to be different from the rest – calling it the Auto Ink, this is actually a three axis numerically controlled sculpture. Whenever the main switch is triggered, the operator will be assigned with a religion as well as it’s corresponding symbol, followed by tattooing that onto the person’s arm. The operator him/herself will not be able to have any control over the assigned symbol, and whatever is tattooed onto your arm will be randomly assigned, so make those who have some pretty strong personal beliefs would do well to think this “lottery” of sorts before continuing. After all, tattoo reversals are not only painful, but expensive as well. Best to stick to a real tattoo artist to get what you want.

(Wow its like playing the lottery with the machine...maybe they will make it where you can choose your own symbol..I dont think this is a good idea to put out in the market..can you imagine how many kids would be tatooing themselves all over...WOW!!!!) Ok I was a huge fan of Dr. Ruth when I was a teenager.  I happen to catch her on the Nate Berkus show.  Dr. Ruth needed helped because for the last several years, since the death of her husband, Dr. Ruth has been so self-conscious about the three-bedroom upper Manhattan apartment — where she has lived for over 50 years and where she raised two children — that she has rarely entertained. Her problem was clutter.

In 2002, Psychologist Tim Kasser published a book called The High Price of Materialism that goes to great lengths to lay out the relationship between unhappiness and materialism. What he found may surprise you.
There is a strong positive correlation between materialism and several mental and physical maladies. In other words, people who pursue money and things at the expense of relationships and other meaningful endeavors are more likely to suffer from these 19 problems:

1. Unhappiness
2. Envy and jealousy
3. Depression
4. Social anxiety
5. Passive-aggressiveness
6. Short attention span
7. Poor impulse control
8. Feelings of being controlled
9. Mistrust of others
10. Tendency to treat others as objects for personal gain
11. Shorter, more conflicted relationships
12. Feelings of social alienation

 From AOLnews.com Nov. 29) -- Scientists have been able to reverse the aging process in mice, a stunning feat that may help regenerate organs in elderly humans, according to a new study published online in the journal Nature.

The experimental treatment developed by researchers at Harvard Medical School turned weak and feeble old mice into healthy rodents by regenerating their aged bodies.
When scientists increased levels of the enzyme telomerase in the mice, their organs began to rejuvenate, according to a new study.  "These mice were equivalent to 80-year-old humans and were about to pass away," said Ronald DePinho, co-author of the paper and a scientist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. After the experiment, "they were the physiological equivalent of young adults," The Wall Street Journal reported.
The experiment involved telomerase, an enzyme that makes small units of DNA that seal the tips of chromosomes. They act like the plastic caps at the ends of a shoelace, preventing chromosomes from fraying and genes from unraveling. When scientists increased levels of telomerase in the mice, their organs began to rejuvenate.
Shriveled testes grew back to normal and the animals regained their fertility. Other organs, such as the spleen, liver and intestines, recuperated from their degenerated state, the Harvard study said.
Anti-aging therapies could dramatically affect the rapidly increasing elderly population by treating devastating afflictions including dementia, stroke and cardiac failure."What we saw in these animals was not a slowing down or stabilization of the aging process. We saw a dramatic reversal -- and that was unexpected," DePinho said.

But replicating that reversal in humans will likely be more difficult. Mice produce telomerase throughout their lives, but the enzyme is switched off in adult humans, an evolutionary trait that prevents cells from dividing out of control. So the risk of cancer cells prospering would substantially increase, Britain's The Guardian reported.
