Thriller voted most Influential video
Michael Jackson's Thriller video has been voted the most influential in pop music history, according to the results of a poll releases this week.
According to The Press Association, the survey was commissioned by MySpace.
More than 1,000 music fans were "interviewed" and chose from a list of 20 videos selected by music and entertainment critics.
Thriller was directed by John Landis (American Werewolf in London) and cost half-a-million dollars to make – a staggering sum in 1983. It was 14 minute film, the first of its kind at the time. It landed 15.2 percent of the vote. In second place was Here It Goes Again, the 2006 internet video, by OK Go, featuring the band dancing on treadmills.Britney Spears' Baby One More Time (1998) came in third, followed by A-Ha's Take On Me (1985).
