David Banner feat. Denim - Dance The Night Away (Footloose Soundtrack) 2011

I had no idea David Banner did a song for the new Footloose movie.  I heard this was better than the original movie?  Did anyone to see the new remake vesion of Footloose that recently came out.  I didn't really watch the original movie back then.   David Banner  told XXLMag.com. "I also did the music for 'Megamind' and the score for 'Footloose." The remake of the 1984 classic that starred Kevin Bacon is written and directed by Craig Brewer, who hired Banner for an acting part in 2006's 'Black Snake Moan.' The new 'Footloose' will star Kenny Wormald in Bacon's role as Ren McCormack and feature 'Dancing With the Stars'  Julianne Hough as the lead female role. If I don't go to the theatre to see this I will catch it on DVD.   I give the song two thumbs way the hell up! I am a david Banner fan. Enjoy!!

You gotta love and appreciate the raw uncut real feeling of this song.  It sounds like they did it in a humble studio and just poured thier country ass hearts out into the lyrics...LOL   I think I prefer this Nelly performance more than some of his other works.  It will be interesting to see a video for this song.  I see the king of the south T.I. is enjoying lending his brilliant rap skills to alot of tracks these days...Hey I don't blame him..make that money!! Wow this is a hell of a collabo.  I like Mariah's part in the song.  One thing that strikes me is why yhte hell is Nick Cannon in the pic with her and Uncle Murda?LOL Oh well I guess he has to be by her side at all times.  I giv eths song two thumbs up it would be cool to see a video for this song..Enjoy!

Currently in my cd player in my car, I have a bunch of old and new songs and this is one of my favorite songs from a few years back. How many women you know of now that believes in just pure love rather than material things. I wish more people believed in love only and not on the value of possessions. I think this is whats wrong with our society, women have become buyers in a bullshit driven consumer market. Some women don't want a man that has a decent job they want the ballers who are pin heads. I am old school I believe in real love not flash in the pan love. What I mean by flash in the pan love is love based on flashy things that you can give a woman. Damn that I'd rather have a live warm dick and someone to call mine than to have a plastic sex toy up my pussy and no one to hold onto to. These women need to get theirselves in check. I am feeling this song right here for real! After doing some research the artist Red Cafe known as R in the industry has been around a while. Red Café signed with several major labels over the years, including Arista, Capitol Records, and RCA, but circumstances dictated that albums were not released. Red Café released a mixtape with DJ Envy, The Co-Op, on October 9, 2007 with distribution by Koch Records. Remy Ma was featured on the album, while Cafe's new song "Paper Touchin Remix" features Fat Joe. Red Café signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label in 2007, In 2009, Red Café signed to Bad Boy Records, with The Shakedown still unreleased. He was also recently cast in the Biggie Smalls biographic movie, Notorious as Primo, the freestyle battle rapper. In late April 2009, Red Cafe's 2009 single "Hottest In Da Hood" was officially remixed by Diddy, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Fabolous and OJ Da Juiceman. He later said an interview that there will be 2 more remixes of that song. The 2nd remix features Juelz Santana, Lore'l, Lloyd Banks and Busta Rhymes. The 3rd features Papoose, Kardinal Offishall, Juggernot, Uncle Murda, Ross Fortune & Diddy. The 2nd remix preimered on May 5, 2009 at Power 105.1. Chill Rob G - The Power (Video)

There were two versions of this song.  Chill's first hip hop collaboration was being part of the original version of the Flavor Unit collective, which included Lakim Shabazz, DJ Mark the 45 King, and Queen Latifah, among others.  It was chosen by The Source as one of the 100 Greatest Rap Albums.  In 1989, the lyrics of his song "Let the Words Flow" were sampled illegally and without permission by the German pop-dance crew Snap! in its hit record The Power. The song was a remix created by German producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti (under the pseudonyms Benito Benites and John "Virgo" Garrett III). After the song gained in popularity in Europe, and Arista/BMG records came calling (via Ariola/BMG, the group's label in its home country), Münzing and Anzilotti recruited Durron Butler (aka Turbo B) to record a new version of the song, rather than continue lip-syncing the original Chill Rob G lyrics. If you have never seen this show you are missing out on some real comedy. Larry David is the co creator of Seinfeld and his character George Kastanza was modeled after himself. Larry David is George! This show is on HBO but you can catch the older seasons on the web. I recommend you start the first season and watch every episode, it is worth it. He always makes fun and light of the obvious things in life that we all have experienced one way or another. In this episode he talks about the chat and cut..You know you have seen people do this hell I think I've done it many times. It is hilarious how he calls out the chat and cut. The Watch the Throne concert hit up the ATL this weekend.  Here are some clips from the opening night which took place Friday night.  I don't know who uploaded these videos but the quality is pretty good.  The concert looks like it was well put together and I know alot of people were anticipating the show.  The radio stations ran their promos for the concert with people trying to win the tickets.  They also played every Kayne West and Jay Z song known to man this weekend in our city. For those who were lucky enough to get into the concert, it must have been an exciting show.  Enjoy the footage!

Some call him the Turbaned Tornado.   According to the Jagran Post,  Singh says his secret is living his life without smoking or alcohol, eating a vegetarian diet. His diet consists of curries and berries and little else. He also exercises every day putting in about 10 miles per day, walking and running. Despite the clean living and exercise regime, he still came in a full six hours behind the winner. Of course, the winner is 38 and Singh is 100 years old and is called the Turbaned Tornado by some.
Singh has become the oldest athlete runner to finish a marathon. Singh was born in India and did not start running marathons until he was in his late eighties, right after the demise of his family. Fauja began running marathons and has no current plans to stop. Singh holds the Record for the 90 year old age group that he obtained at age 92. Wow I know so many people in their 30's that give up on doing things because they think they are too old.  Then you hear a story like this and it totally reforms your train of thoughts.  He should be an inspiration to all of us for real!!

You have been under a rock if you haven't heard this summer anthem right here.  In Atlanta it bumped every other car and was on all the radio stations.  Finally the video is here which proves to really be a perfect fit for the song.  The video is better directed then some movies I have seen. The only problem with this song is if you hear once you will have it in your head all day.  LOL I guess thats not a bad thing though.  Future has a major label deal and “Tony Montana” has a video finally!!! To shoot it, Future traveled to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and it looks and feels as authenic as you can get.  The club banger is about to gain some more exposure.  I give the song and the video two thumbs way the hell up!! Even though they are trying so hard to sell the strip club scene.....sorry I aint buying it BUT I have to say other than that the song is pretty good.  I like Neyo and Trey Songz, I think they are talented singers.  I don't know about the T-Pain part of the song but alrighty then.....LOL.  The video was shot in an Atlanta area strip club.  Our city is famous for the strip clubs but I wish musicians could find better backdrops and scenarios for their promotional material to work with.  Anyway I will give the song two thumbs up but the video gets maybe one thumb up! It is a damn shame people don't know who the Egyptian Lover is wow? Greg Broussard better known by his stage name Egyptian Lover is an American musician, vocalist, producer and DJ, and was an important part of the L.A. dance music and rap scene in the early 1980s.




The Egyptian Lover started out as a D.J. in Los Angeles with Uncle Jam's Army D.J.ing dances as large as the L.A. Sports Arena with 10,000 people. He began recording around Los Angeles in 1982 as a member of the Radio Crew, and also Uncle Jam's Army. In the early days of hip hop, albums were rare, so most of The Egyptian Lover's successful recordings were 12" singles. He would eventually release some of the earliest rap LPs, which was especially unique for being west-coast based, but they were less popular than his singles. But on the strength of containing an alternate mix of his most popular single "Egypt, Egypt", 1984's On the Nile was moderately successful. After a break in the early 1990s, Egyptian Lover returned in 1994 (see 1994 in music) with Back from the Tomb. His last full-length album in over ten years. In 2006 The Egyptian Lover recorded another new album "Platinum Pyramids".  The Egyptian Lover also established his own record company, Egyptian Empire Records.  He was representing the West Coast way back in the 80's.  If you haven't checked his other songs out you should!

Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Demand four: Free college education.
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand
Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.
I agree with every single demand on this list. who doesn't want a fair living wage, a good free education like most other countries provide for their citizens.  My big thing is the credit reporting agencies, I think the credit scoring system is a bunch of bullshit created to once again stick it to people who have slips in life. I have joined the occupy movement and I am moving my money out of the banks and into a credit union.

I had to post this dog becuase it is so damn funny.  I can't even stay on a skateboard and this dog can ride it like a pro! LOL  I think this is one ff the funniest thing I have seen on youtube.  I like how he gains his momentum and is smart enough to get all fours ont he skateboard to glide down the street.  LOL I wonder how they taught the dog how to ride a skateboard.  This was posted a few years ago but I had to put it on my blog...it was too unbelivable.  Enjoy!

The  song is produced by Babyface.  The Boyz are gearing up for the October 25th release of their latest album Twenty; which symbolizes their twenty years in the industry.  Twenty is to feature 13 new Boyz II Men songs, as well as 8 re-recorded tracks as well as featuring production from greats such as Teddy Riley & Charlie Wilson. Chuan Yun Li plays SUPER MARIO!!!!

Just when you think youhave seen and heard it all, then comes this one.  Li Chuan Yun (李傳韻), also known as Chanyun Li or Babeli (born 1980) is a Chinese violin virtuoso. He began studying violin at the age of 3 and won his first prize in Beijing when he was five. Li performed all the violin solos for the film Together and also starred in the film. He is often cited as the youngest professional violinist in the world. Source:Wikipedia.  I think it is very creative to perform the Super Mario theme on a violin. I like this! He is very talented!

Fall back Friday....lets fall back to 1995. This song was my jam. I played it religiously back then. Aaron Hall from the group Guy was featured in this song too!  Patra is a jamaican singer and her second album, Scent of Attraction, sold slightly less but still reached #2 on the Reggae albums chart. The biggest hit was her cover of Grace Jones's "Pull Up to the Bumper" (#60 U.S.) and the title track, featuring R&B musician Aaron Hall (#82 U.S.)Source:Wikipedia.  Despite what she is talking about in the son,  I do like it due to nostaglia.  I give the song and the vdieo two thumbs way the hell up! MC Hammer's WireDoo: Can it take on Google and Bing?  <- Click here to learn more! “Why create another search engine?” Mc Hammer is offering, WireDoo, which is ironically un-Googleable, apparently has the motto of , “Search once and see what’s related.”  With WireDoo, , users will be able to search relational terms according to Hammer. Search for AAPL and you’ll get a list of mutual funds invested in AAPL, search for a school name, and you’ll get the truancy rate. WireDoo really is a competitive attempt to recreate search according to Hammer, who is a Silicon Valley native apparently, “You could always make things better, create the next version.” I think this is a terrific idea and I am with Mc Hammer 100%.  I can't wait to check it out when it is up and running! Let's get behind him and support him all the way and let us all leave Google behind.  Hammer is about to turn this mutha out!!! LOL

Trey Songz - Hunnadz (NEW 2011)

Trey Songz has released a new song...but he is rapping.  What do you thin of his rapping skills.  I think he is ok but I think he is so much better as a singer.  I am glad he is free enough in himself to diversify his talents.  Thats a real good look.  He is so successful in being a top R & B singer.  I am going to say this song is just okay.  I would like to see a video maybe I would appreciate this song more with a visual representative to accompany it.  Enjoy!!

I am so in love with this song! We Found Love" is a song by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna, from her sixth studio album Talk That Talk (2011). The song features Scottish singer-songwriter Calvin Harris. "We Found Love" was released as the lead single from the album and premiered on September 22, 2011, in the United Kingdom on the Capital FM radio station and was made available to download on the same day. The song has met with mixed reviews from music critics, who praised the song's composition and Rihanna's vocal performance, however, some critics felt that the lyrical content was sparse and came second to Harris' production. So while I was looking up the Jersey Shore, I found Halloween costumes of the cast members. The Pauly D. costume is absolutely ridiculous looking, look at the hair...LOL OMG!!!

OMG this is an absolutely amazing picture.  With the opening of the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial in D.C. this year, in his honor I am voiting this the picture of the year for 2011!!! This pic gave me chills when I saw it and made my heart fill with both sorrow and joy. My oh my what a picture can tell us that a thousand words can't.  The word that comes to my mind is this photo is Priceless!!

T.I. on the View

The rapper T.I. stopped by the View this morning to talk about life after prison, family and his new novel "Power and Beauty"  Was it me or didn't Barbara Walters and Whoopi act a little hostile towards T.I?  I like all his answers and I have the utmost respect for someone that can be totally honest in front of his friends, family and the world.  That is not an easy thing to do.  I also like the fact that he didn't write an autobiography but instead decided to write a novel.  That was a smart move!  If you have heard a few of the tracks he has been jumping on you know that the King is really back and this time we are all hoping he stays out of jail!  Go check out the book, it should be an interesting read for us all!

A Decade of Difference

The William J. Clinton Foundation's Decade of Difference concert, celebrating 10 years of the foundation along with the former president's 65th birthday had the stars come out that night.  It even had Usher ripping his pants. and Usher saying   "I work hard," he said, shrugging it off. .LOL Others who perfromed that evening included Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Bono, Kenny Chesney, K'naan, Juanes the  Colombian superstar who got the crowd dancing to his hit song "La Camisa Negra."  There was also a  a film starring the Clinton Foundation's global efforts to help fight the presence of HIV and AIDS. Later in the evening members of the audience could be heard singing "Happy Birthday" to Clinton, who was, after the evening of accolades, surely feeling appreciated.  Watch the entire concert above.  Enjoy!!

Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial in D.C. is where you will find the statue of this great legend!  He was such an inspiration to all of humanity.  His sculture should tower over the clouds.
