I just came across this song...I love it!! Goapele is one of my favorite artists...I think she is so beautiful in mind, spirit and body. I loved all her songs. This song should be played on every station right now! It is a brilliant song. This song was released back in 2002 and I never heard it on the radio one time. You can't say that good music is not being made what you can say is that the media outlets only choose to play certain songs that push certain ideals. This song is talking about something other than what the script reads. See they didn'y have to degrade any women, show any ass or talk about drugs, bling or cars to have a TRUE message...I give this video two thumbs way up!!! Enjoy!!!

 Indie, pop artist Candice Pillay is currently in the studio working on her new mixtape which is almost done. To hear what she has been working on here is a new song "Smooches" with Kelly Rowland.  Candice is a model hailing out of Los Angeles California.   This Bagladesh produced track features the one and only Kelly Rowland.  I think this is gonna be a smash hit if it gets radio play.  I like the track and would love to see a video for this track...Enjoy!!!

I like this song...I can't quite get used to Tinie's accent but I guess it will work on me.LOL I think Wiz Khalifa has a promising long career.  I think his rap style is very contagiously enjoyable..(hope that makes sense)..LOL in other words he is going to be around for a while.  In the latest news with Wiz...his wife is in the middle of some gossip that relates to some pics a few years ago.  Here is what Amber has told the media outlets.. “Wiz & I & both of our families have known about this for 2 months now. We tried to prepare ourselves for this day. Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer. I’m really hurt & embarr#!@%*#ed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself.  Wiz reportly went to his twitter account forgiving Amber.  Well its either the weed he smokes or its love...to forgive someone you love is the meaning of true love... Oh this is my favorite song out right now.  I am so glad they did a video for this song.  My favorite part is when Trey Songz sings, I think he adds a good touch to the song.  The video concept is cute and the girl they picked looks alot like Lupe himself.  I thought they were brother and sister..do I declare a bit of vanity there..its just a joke.  Anyway I love Trey's part he probably could have done this song alone and it would have been a hit.  I do like Lupe's rap style so the pair make a good combination.  I give the video two thumbs up!! Untamed And Uncut Leopard Attack

This is an amazing video that I came across and wanted to share with everyone. I cannot imagine how the ranger felt when this big ass cat tried to get into the truck. He was probably in so much shock that this leopard was even at the window that he couldn't roll the window up in time. My question is why didn't anyone try to help. This video is shooting for almost 4 minutes and its obvious there has to be a camera man or a crew standing there watching this horrible attack. You would think someone would have thrown something at the leopard instead of letting it get up into the truck. WOW.. I guess they wanted the video opportunity...I would have been cursing them out if it was me and I knew they did nothing to ward off this cat...SMDH

YC- "Racks" remix

I sure hope YC is investing investing investing.....instead of counting those racks on racks on racks. I hope he is not a one hit wonder but in today's industry it could happen. Anyway I loved the original "Racks" song and this does nto disappoint either. With appearances from Ace Hood, BOB, Nelly, Trae The Truth, Yo Gotti, Cyhi Da Prynce & Dose, the "Racks" remix is worth listening too. The video is not much better than the first video for the song but other than that, I am glad to see YC squeeze as much juice out of this song that he can..I give the video 2 thumbs up....Enjoy!!!

This is so funny and you can't make up this stuff!! Bill Mayer talks about what happened to this Obama impersonator. Well here is the story the Republican Leadership Conference hired one of the best Obama impersonators to perform and tell jokes. Well Reggie Brown gets on stage and starts to makes jokes about the Democrats...he is a very good Obama by the way...so the audience is loving it and applauding and laughing. Then Reggie decides to start joking about the Republicans and the crowd stops laughing and then Reggie is yanked off the stage by some old cracker cornball. You have got to see this funny ass video. It was all caught on tape. It's a dame shame the Republicans can dish out malicious attacks on people but as soon as they are the brunt of the jokes, they stop the show. WOW what a bunch of losers. Remember friends don't let your friends be or vote Republican. This is a funny clip!! Enjoy!!!!

Dr. Boyce: BET Has Officially Become the New and Improved KKK

I posted something about Lil Wayne and Rick Ross last week touching on some of what Dr. Boyce touches on.  I was a Lil Wayne fan and I believe we all have a right to listen to what we want.  Enertainment is what it is entertaining, but the problem comes in when our society is dysfunctional like it is right now.  The state of our society is broken and fragile.  I totally agree with his assessment that they take these youngs guys in and script them into saying this garbage.  Our children are more influenced by entertainers and they look up to all the people that are on TV and videos.  You have to respect where Dr. Boyce is coming from and why he is fed up.. There are alot of social issues and we don't ever want to see the ingredients into what makes up a fucked up society. We all need to wake up and stop sniffing the crack....WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Hip Hop too but come on kids listen to this garbage.  KIDS....!!!!!!!  Dr. Boyce Watkins is a Professor at Syracuse University and founder of the Your Black World Coalition.

Man in Costa Rica feeds a Crocodile with his bare hands

Wow that crocodile is nothing to play with.  He could probably take that man in one huge bite.  If you listen in the background some guy is saying that they give the Crocodiles names.  I don't care if his name is Dan or Stan or Al or Cal...I wouldn't be that damn close to that big ass crocodile.  I wonder how many feet that Crocodile is I would guess at least 13 feet  It is amazing how comfortable that guy is around that huge animal.  You will probably watch this video like I did..on the edge of your seat wondering if that guy will be next in the Crocs mouth!

Wow I thought it was just me but I hate Miracle Whip. Always have always will. Since I hate it as much as Pauly D does, I wanted to post the commerical. I can't wait for the new season of Jersey Shore to hit the airwaves. I do not know why so many people hate the Jersey Shore crew. I think they are hilarious. Well this song was on my mind today and I said why not make it a throwback Monday.  Montel Jordan had several hits in the 1990's including the party jam "This is how We Do it"! That song blew up the charts...everyone was singing that song.  Well this song "Supastar" came out after his hit and I loved it the first time I saw the video. I was reading in Wikipedia that in 2010 Montell left the music industry to become a Minister.  WOW Enjoy!!!!

You don't know what you want for dinner tonight??  Let Coolio come to your rescue.  I came across this on the internet and thought it was funny. Remeber Coolio had a few hits in the 90's including his rendition of "Fantastic Voyage".  He also had the hit "Gangsta's Paradise" which appeared in the film Dangerous Minds . Apparently Coolio has a cooking show and cookbook and he has a ghetto approach to bringing us delicious recipes.  He is featured in his own web show.  In this episode he is making tricked out Westside Tilapia.

Wiz Khalifa "ON My Level" ft. Too Short

Congratulations goes out to Wiz Khalifa who won Best New artist on the BET awards Sunday night.  He had some tough competition including J. Cole, Bruno Mars, Miguel and Williow Smith.  He beat them all taking home the award.  He had this to say “I’m not used to winning stuff, so I didn’t come with no speech or nothing,” the cool and collected rapper said, thanking his record label and “everyone who helped start my career and get me to where I’m at. All the young people who promote positivity and just having fun and enjoying yourself, man, this is for y’all.”  I like Wiz and I wanted to showcase his video which is climbing the charts.  I like how he got the veteran rapper Too Short to colloborate on this track.  I give this two thumbs up....Wiz reminds me of a young Snoop Dog, I think he will have Snoop's longevity in the industry too...Enjoy!!!!

Somehow I missed this show last month, but I saw it on air last night. I wanted to post it because I enjoyed every moment of Ms Lady Gaga she has a really cool personality. David Letterman is one of my favorite late night hosts. They had relaly good chemistry and I love David Letterman's sarcastic jokes. He is so funny. I got to get this off my chest..Lil Wayne said what??

In an interview with XXL magazine, Lil Wayne had this to say about working with Justin Bieber: “That’s my little homie now. He texts me every night asking me to do [his] d*mn song. That’s my n*gga, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to f*ck his sh*t up.”

Hold up wait a minute....He doesn't want to mess up Justin Bieber's little image but yet Lil Wayne just did a song with Lil Twist, the little boy who sings "Love Affair."  So is it ok to fuck up his image because he is a little black kid? Why is he any different than Justin Bieber other than skin color.  Was Lil Wayne required to say that by the record execs or does he really feel that way.   Oh I get, so he is ok with fucking up other peoples images, people that look like him? Hasn't he has worked with many people but Justin Bieber id the KING now? Cmon man this is some bullshit. Who the hell is Justin Bieber and why the hell does he have so much respect from grown ass men who are in the hip hop genre?  Lil Twist is a 16 year old black kid, why did Wayne feel the need to corrupt this little kids image but he wont even dare do a song with Justin Bieber?

  I also have a huge problem with the new Rick Ross ft Lil Wayne video "9 Piece".  Look at what the video glorifies selling dope from an IPhone, is this how far we have to stoop to sell their products. When will this shit stop, why is everyone standing around not saying something about this garbage?  I boycott the video its disgusting and despicable.  I will not support something that aids into the suffering and killing of people.  Just because it is out there in front of our faces does not make it right.  You wouldn't see the wholesome precious perfect Justin Bieber doing a song with Lil Wayne about selling drugs on an IPhone because his parents would say no.  Are you serioulsy gonna support a song that goes this low ?????  I'm glad Lil Wayne has respect for Justin Bieber, I'm just disappointed he doesn't have that same respect for lil young black kids too.  Please don't take this as hate against Lil Wayne.  I like him but I disagree with his recent comments and the choices he makes while being a role model to our youth?  We have kids out here admiring these guys and when they flash around guns, drugs ansd hos, its damaging to our young men who are fatherless and who have seen their fathers run to that  devilish underground shady ass lifestlye.  We will make another generation of ignorant asses if we keep supporting this garbage!!!!

Ok Brian channels Marvin Gaye so well in this song...WOW...I like the sound of this song. This is one of the songs that will be on Brian McKnight's new album which will be released in July. I would love to see a nice and mellow video for this song. I think this album will showcase his talent in a way we have grown to appreciate from Brian McKnight. I give this song two thumbs way up!! I like this song and the video is cute. Jennifer looks great and she is showing us her little dance moves. The song is catchy as hell. I like the video concept. I wanted to point out to all the men out there that all women want that ring on their finger. Some women wanna play that hard independent type role, but every girls dream is to have her night and shining armor commit only to her. We see alot of videos showing men with many women and sometimes they are with two women at the same time. That is the media's push on fucking up marriages and stability. If you love someone you should be with that one person and commit to the one. Its the most wonderful thing in the world to be with your best friend and soul mate. Beyonce's album drops Tuesday. I have heard a few songs from the album. I always think it is worth getting her albums. She cannot flop she is too talented for that. The commercial is a wonderful advretisement for the new album. I know alot of people can't believe that there is room for many artists. I just discovered this video but I must say I like it.  I have read alot of comments and everyone wants to compare Natalia to Rhianna or Lady Gaga.  I think the reason why it is so easy to get these artists confused is because alot of them have the same writers.  There are a few  writers the music industry employees and they write the songs and find singers to do the records.  If you notice many of the songs have the same lyric or lines that are used over and over again.  Natalia Kills was born in England to a Jamaican father and Uruguayan mother.  She was signed by Will.i.am in 2008,to Interscope Records via his music group imprint.  I like her sound and I like the video to this song "Mirrors"  Enjoy!!!

I love the show but I am a reality Tv junkie so it goes to show what perspective I am coming from.. anyway the show is always entertaining.  I am anxious to see Kim's relationship develop and I love Kourtney she is my favorite on the show.  People can hate the Kardashians but they have made a presence so strong in the media world that you cannot deny the business knack this family has under their belts.  I think I prefer this one then Lamar and Khloe spinoff.  I like to see Bruce Jenner, I think he is so funny! He reminds me of to 80's artists we used to have before the thug image and lifestyle was pushed down our throats and we somehow accepted it.  I would say he reminds me of Jesse Johnson, Andre Cymone and the Fine Young Cannibals.  His style and image is what we need in music.  He is saying something that matters so I know the mainstream conformists (bullys) will find something bad to say about him.  I love him!!! Wow I was really liking this song for a while now. I am very disappointed with the video though. How many videos will we see strippers and poles. I mean the strip clubs must be losing alot of money or something. They have aimed their marketing tools into our music today. Im sorry but dirty lost women dancing on a pole have no reason to be in a video. It just makes this so predictable. It's funny Michael Jackson never had to really stoop to selling sex to sell his records because he had raw talent. I am sick of the same concept in videos. We need better producers and people with some orginality. This concept has been done over and over again... Ok I am done complaining! The one positive aspect of the video...ummmm I like the blue look throughout....LOL Enjoy!!!

Nice song, it has a good workout beat to it.  I like the video and how she says fuck you in the press conference and leaves out.  She always pushes buttons thats why she has maintained herself through all the years.  Her latest album is proving to be pretty good.  She is still on tour and Nicki Minaj is on the Femme Fatale tour.  There are rumored reports that Britney is upset that Nicki keeps going over her time on stage but there are no confirmed reports that they are not getting along. He will stay with you until what he wants comes along. The craziest part to the whole cheating world is that there is a serious double standard. If the man cheats on his woman it is expected for the woman to forgive and stay with the man. It is almost saying that yea we expect men to cheat and they can because we will always forgive them. That is complete bullshit!! Why is there such a double standard? What are your thoughts?

Wow Jeremih came a very long way from "Birthday Sex" It's not that the Birthday Sex sound wasn't that good but it just sticks him in a narrow box. With the performance it shows more of his musicianship. George Howard- a great musician remembered

Jazz helps soothe the soul.  I remember when "Do I ever cross your Mind" came out.  He was a Jazz-Funk/Fusion/Smooth Jazz Soprano saxophonist. George died in 1998 at the young age of 41.  What a loss to the music world.  He covered "Baby Come to Me" by Regina Belle.  I have included that video.  When I listen to music like this my imagination runs wild and free.  We should honor jazz more than we do.  It is wonderful music. Some of the highlights of Birthday Bash 16 in Atlanta Ga this past weekend!

If you weren't in Atlanta Ga this weekend you missed a star studded event.  See alot of the Birthday Bash highlights.  There were more performers but I included most of my favorite ones. 























Lloyd did "Bedrock" The footage is not the best but I wanted to include Him since he is one of my all time favorite artists.  The radio station 107.9 advertised the Birthday Bash event for months and with the star studded event I see how big it actually turned out to be.  There were alot of after parties in Atlanta that night.  I think out of all the performers,  Keri Hilson, Chris Brown  and Young Jeezy ft Lil Wayne were my favorite performances.  Enjoy!!

Ok I don't get what the big deal is in legalizing Marijuana?  It is a known culprit to help patients with pain and other ailments.  In Montel Williams case as many others, he needs it for pain.  Since when is it our decision to keep medicine away from people. Whether it be a narcotic pill or a joint, the medicinal powers of marijuana have been proven time and time again.  We need ot legalize all drugs and have them dispensed in medical facilites.  Crime would go down if people wwere able to get clean drugs and get them prescribed through a medical outpatient setting.  I am glad Montel is taking this matter in his own hands.  He is smart to stick to this and I wish him the best of luck in fighting MS.

If you are a nature lover this video is for you. The cats in video are amazing and I love to watch them in their own habitat. The cinematography in the video is wonderful!  I like Jordin Sparks and I think she was should be more mainstream, she is very talented!  This song and video came out in April of this year but somehow I missed it back then.  Well I am glad I found it today.  Enjoy!!!

Clarence Clemons: Twilight of the 'Big Man' {RIP}

Source: TMZ.com Legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons died today of complications from a stroke he suffered back on June 12. He was 69. Clemons, known to fans as the Big Man, was the most famous member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. His stand out work could be heard on songs like "Born To Run," "Thunder Road," "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out," and "Dancing In The Dark" ... along with countless others.

I mean if you dont like what people are wearing mind your business.  I personally hate the way Khaki pants look and the way men wear them but you do not see me pulling out the police swat team to attack someone for wearing these corny ass looking pants.  California of all places got some dam nerve as fucked up as that state's representatives are and  as messed up as their economy is they are going to harass young people who dress in baggy attire.  Wow there are some fucked up priorities if you are kicking young people off a plane because of what he wears.  This shows you that these people are crazy!!!He did not commit a crime and he paid for his ticket so what is the justification of aresting him??

Old School Friday video- Loose Ends-"Hanging on a String"



In 1995 Hanging on a String reached #1 on the US Billboard R&B charts.  This song was huge, it was heard over and over again on radiostations that year.  This is such an underrated group, they had alot of wonderful songs and the group gets often overlooked.  This was the era of very good music.  I miss that era of soul and R&B, it was a treat to be able to experience all these great songs in that era. "Hangin' on a String (Contemplating)" is featured in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto IV's fictional Soul/R&B radio station The Vibe 98.8,  Enjoy!!!
