Chicago says boy's city sticker design has gang symbols - New York Daily News:

How ridiculous is this....a boy in Chicago draws a picture that was inspired by a picture his art teacher shared with him. he draws the picture of first responders hands along with other symbols on the picture. The city announces he is the winner of the contest and says they will print his artwork as the new city decal and awards him a $1000 savings bond. It is later determined by some idiot experts that the picture he drew suggests gang related images because of the positioning of the hands...WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! How fuckin stupid is that! So they strip the boy of his award and reward and chose another art design to go with....How absurb this story is to me!!! That kid did nothing wrong!! Its the experts perception of the artwork that is wrong. How do you even think that this represents gangs? WOW
